Artist's creations using Lazertran - Lazertran Silk used to transfer photographic images and drawings

Emmi Thornton Smith

Patricia Lynch was a working artist for some years before deciding to pursue some formal art training in the form of a BA in Fine Art Practice at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. She is primarily a painter but has been involved in a variety of special projects, some of which involve the use of Lazertran. The journey scroll, shown below is made of silk backed with calico and measures 16 ft x 18 inches. Lazertran Silk has been used to transfer photographic images and drawings of a visit to Nepal in 1994, these have been enhanced by entries from a journal made at the same time, which have been written directly on to the silk.
